How the Binge Watch Time formula works
Total time, then divided across a daily viewing budget:
Total hours = (Episodes × Minutes per episode) / 60 Days to finish = Total hours / Hours watched per day
Step-by-step calculation
- Multiply the number of episodes by the average episode length in minutes.
- Divide by 60 to convert to total hours.
- Divide total hours by your planned daily watch time to estimate days to finish.
Worked example
A series with 62 episodes averaging 45 minutes each: Total = 62 × 45 = 2,790 minutes = 46.5 hours. At 2 hours/day, that's 46.5/2 ≈ 23.3 days to finish.
