How the Dog Age formula works
Based on epigenetic aging research (Wang et al.), which compares DNA methylation patterns between dogs and humans:
Human age = 16 × ln(dog age) + 31
This logarithmic formula better reflects how dogs age rapidly in their first couple of years and then more gradually afterward, unlike the flat 'x7' multiplier.
